发呆英文怎么说？发呆是人一生中无可避免的事情，上课发呆、工作发呆、吃饭也发呆，发呆在英语里有哪些表达说法呢？

①to zone out

通常zone out是指在一个短暂时间里恍神发呆，比如你因为昨天晚上没睡好，导致精神疲惫，所以别人讲到一半时，走神了一下下，就可以用zone out。

例如：

A: So anyway, as I was saying… Are you even listening to me?

A:反正，我刚刚说…你有在听我说话吗？

B: Oh, sorry！I just zoned out for a second.

B:噢抱歉！我刚刚走神了一下。

②to be in a daze／trance

to be in a daze／trance这种发呆情形通常是“恍惚”，就像刚起床不久神智没清醒，就会in a daze一段时间。

例如：

A: What's wrong with him? He seems kind of off today.

A:他怎么了？他今天看起来心不在焉。

B: I don't know. He's just been sitting there in a daze .

B:我不知道，他就一直坐在那里发呆。

③to stare blankly

blankly的中文解释是茫然的、没有表情的，因此stare blankly即为茫然地凝视，说白一点就是发呆！

例如：

When I saw her, she was just staring blankly at her computer screen.

我看到她的时候，她就只是对着电脑发呆。

④to stare into space

stare的意思为凝视，而space则表示空间，所以stare into space的发呆方式是双眼直视着前方灵魂放空。

除了stare into space之外，也可以说look into space或gaze into space！

他说他在读书，但看看他！他就只是在发呆！

⑤to drift off

drift本身是漂流的意思，而drift off用来形容发呆的话，就像是思绪漂流，无法专心于目前进行的事物，最常见的情形就是上课或演讲很无聊的时候了！

例如：

This class is so boring. I'm trying to pay attention, but I keep drifting off .

这堂课好无聊，我一直尝试专心，但还是不断发呆。
